Beyond three, a travel roll stops being a holiday accessory and becomes equipment. This short, serious page holds the whole 4+ roll range: a quad roll case in dark brown calf leather for four, two hexagon travel cases that carry six watches apiece in black leather, and the flagship — an 8 watch roll case in premium black Nappa leather at £499, a week's rotation and more in a single roll.

The range is small because the need is specialist: collectors who travel to buy, to sell, to photograph or simply to wear a different watch every day of the trip. For storage at home at these numbers, the briefcases and cabinets on the 12+ watch boxes page take over.

Choosing a 4+ watch roll

The quad calf roll is the elegant answer for four — a true roll, supple and compact for its capacity. The hexagon sixes are structured cases: faceted, crush-resistant, built for suitcases and car boots. The Nappa eight is in a class of its own — eight individual slots in the finest leather we use, for the man whose travel rotation is a collection in miniature. All keep every watch on its own cushion, separated from its neighbours.

FAQs

Who travels with four or more watches?

Collectors visiting dealers, fairs and fellow collectors; photographers and journalists moving review pieces; and long-trip travellers who simply refuse to choose. It is a small club — hence a short page — but for its members nothing smaller works.

Roll or hexagon case at this size?

The quad is a genuine roll — flexible, lighter, kinder to odd spaces. The hexagon sixes are rigid cases with a faceted shell; choose them when the luggage gets thrown around or the watches are at the valuable end.

Is the 8 watch Nappa roll worth £499?

It is eight slots of premium black Nappa with individual padding — effectively eight single rolls tailored into one case, in the best leather in the range. Against eight separate cases, or one damaged watch, the arithmetic usually settles itself.

Should I use a 4+ roll or a briefcase?

Rolls and hexagon cases are travel formats — they go in luggage and come home. The lift-out-tray briefcases (on the 12+ boxes page) are storage-and-transport for 15 to 24 — choose them when the numbers climb past eight.

Can these go in checked luggage?

They are built strongly enough — the hexagons especially — but our advice never changes: valuable watches travel in the cabin. Use these in your carry-on or personal item wherever size allows.
